Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to come to your location?

Nope! Hope Academy Online is 100% online. We do offer several locations throughout Arizona where you can get in-person support, resources, and tutoring if you’d like. Once you graduate, we’ll also invite you to attend an optional graduation ceremony in the Phoenix metro area!

Are there teachers or other staff to help me?

Don’t worry! Our staff is committed to your success! You’ll have highly qualified and certified instructors that will work with you during every course. We’ll provide many academic resources and even tutoring opportunities to help if you’re struggling. You’ll even be assigned a mentor that will be available to support, encourage, and help you all the way to graduation.

How much time will this take?

We will use high school credits you’ve already earned and allow you to complete your remaining credits using our program! With Hope Academy Online, you can work at your own pace through any course you need to complete. Since your online classroom is always open, you can truly move as quickly as you want!

Prescriptive Exams

Prescriptive exams are an assessment that can be taken on qualifying courses before any coursework is completed. The volume of required course content will be reduced based on the level of competency demonstrated through exam scores.

 
 

Test-Outs

Students who show proficiency in designated content areas can test-out by earning a qualifying score on an assessment in a subject area and receive credit for that course. You will record a “P" for pass or earn the grade achieved on your test-out exam.

 
 

Mentoring

Every student enrolled in Hope Academy Online receives the support of a mentor to provide encouragement, and motivation, and to help connect with you any other services or resources you might need.

 
 

Earn Elective Credits While You Work

Many of our students work or volunteer while taking classes. Our CREW program allows you to receive elective credits for real-life experiences while you are learning work-based skills!

 
 

Tutoring

Tutoring is available for the additional support you need. Highly-qualified teachers are available via phone, email, or virtual classroom. Students are encouraged to contact their teacher with any questions or concerns they are having in a course.
